This museum was established for exhibiting the results of research to the public, and spreading the education of the nature and history of nature, and for development of the natural history study. More the six hundred thousand fossils of animals and plants, rocks, mineral specimen and maps are kept and some of them are displayed.

IPSJ Computer Museum is a virtual museum where you can find information about historical Japanese computers and the people engaged in the development of those computers.
Cyberscience Center Display Room is one of the IPSJ Computer Museum. In this room, parts, units and cabinets of historical computers including units of parametron computer jointly developed by Tohoku University and NEC in early computer days are displayed.

The exhibition hall for the Model T (made in 1926) and Model A (made in 1931) made by Ford Motor Company and an engine for F1 races made by Toyota Motor Corporation.
It was opened as a part of the 100th anniversary of the foundation of Tohoku University on November 1, 2008.

In the C 03 Aobayama Memorial Hall, there is an exhibition space of SKK (Sendai Koto Kogyo Gakkou (Sendai college of Engineering) - one of the forerunners of the Tohoku University School of Engineering).
The old SKK building is remaining in Katahira Campus and it is used as G 14 Research Center for 21st Century Information Technology 1.
